[prMac.com] Los Angeles CA/Boston MA - The Creative Pro User Group (CPUG) Network have announced that the inaugural Bay Area SuperMeetUp will take place on Friday, June 26, 2015 at the McEnery Convention Center in San Jose CA. Held in association with Future Media Concepts and the FCPX Creative Summit, the Bay Area SuperMeertUp will feature a keynote by Randy Ubillos, former Chief Architect of Final Cut Pro.

"He changed the world's Post Production industry. Entire industries have grown up around what he has created," continues Michael Horton, head of the Los Angeles Creative Pro User Group and co-producer. "He has had an amazing career and we are very grateful he has accepted our invitation."
In addition to Randy Ubillos, there will be presentations by Blackmagic Design, Adobe, Other World Computing and That Studio.

Here, attendees can enjoy a few cocktails, network and party with industry peers, talk one on one with leading manufacturers and learn about the latest trends in collaborative editing workflows for postproduction and broadcast markets.
Presentations will begin at 7:00PM and continue until 11:00PM. Rounding out the evening will be the always wild and crazy "World Famous Raffle" where thousands of dollars worth of valuable prizes will be handed out to dozens of lucky winners.
What is a SuperMeetUp? A SuperMeetUp is simply smaller and more intimate than a SuperMeet. Seats are limited to only 350 people. Like a SuperMeet though, it provides the postproduction and broadcast community an opportunity to not only learn about latest technology trends, but to network and share industry news and opportunities in a social setting that is both educational, exciting and fun!
SuperMeetUp attendees are not required to register or attend the FCPX Creative Summit. SuperMeetUp attendees can also benefit from a 50% off single night discounted hotel rate at the 4.5 star rated Hotel Fairmont, just a 5 minute walk to the SuperMeetUp and FCPX Creative Summit.
Tickets are on sale now, online only, for the low price of $10.00 (USD) for General Admission and $7.00 for Students and Teachers. Attendees of the FCPX Creative Summit receive complimentary admission to the SuperMeetUp. It is expected this SuperMeetUp will sell out and its producers urge everyone to buy tickets early. For more information, including how to get the discount Hotel rate as well as purchase your SuperMeetUp ticket, go to the SuperMeet website.
SuperMeets are networking gatherings of Final Cut Studio, Adobe and Avid editors, gurus and digital filmmakers from throughout the world who use or want to learn to use Macintosh-based workflows and solutions such as Apple's Final Cut Studio suite of applications. SuperMeets are held annually in San Francisco, Austin, Las Vegas, Amsterdam, London and Boston. The SuperMeet agenda usually includes demos of new products, digital video tips and tricks, and filmmaker show and tells, including a SuperMeet Digital Showcase with vendors and small developers providing workflow solutions for digital filmmakers and content creators.
