[prMac.com] Athens, Greece - Signature-Secret Notes & Photos 2.21, an innovative privacy app for iOS that keeps sensitive images and information safe from prying eyes, has announced the release of a new version that will come with more dynamic features for secure and private device viewing. Signature-Secret Notes and Photos - available for free at the App Store (Utilities) - offers unparalleled security and privacy for data users wish to make visible only to them. The elements that comprise this app allow the user to move seamlessly between privatized notes and notes that are not under this app's blanket of protection.
Unique to Signature-Secret Notes and Photos - which essentially works as a mask that can either shield or reveal the user's "secret area" - is the uncommon ease and convenience with which the app can be deployed. When the app is running, and out of 'decoy' mode, the user simply draws the secret signature anywhere on the screen and the secret area is revealed - holding phone numbers, photos, account numbers, credit card information, sensitive photos, anything that needs to be kept safe from prying eyes. Upon exiting, users are automatically prompted to a "public," decoy area of the app - which, with the updated version, also features customizable matching accuracy and a multi-segment signature.
"Multi-segment signature is another way that Signature-Secret Notes and Photos goes way above and beyond in making sure that our app is always improving in delivering the highest levels of safety and security for users," said Andreas Anagnostatos, the developer of Signature-Secret Notes and Photos. "In previous versions, a user's customized secret signature, or gesture, could only include one single segment of finger motion. In the updated version, we've enhanced the security of this app by providing for multi-segment signatures. This will not only enhance privacy, but it also makes it more engaging for users to customize and design their own signature."
A user signature is matched against shape, direction, and speed - factors that must match to be able to access the secret area. Size, angle and position of a signature do not count - it doesn't matter how large or small a signature is or where on the screen it is written, it is how a signature is written that unlocks the app.
"The goal with our unique signature method, and really with this app overall, is to give users the peace of mind of knowing that - even in the event of a lost or stolen device - your most private information will not be exposed to the wrong sets of eyes," added Anagnostatos. "The public, decoy screen is all anyone would see without knowing the unique, private, signature code assigned to gain access to the private area."
This new updated app version allows for greater complexity in the secret signature. Multi-segmented signatures will allow users to actually lift a finger from the screen and have more than one segment - and, thus, a more complex secret code. The update also offers more flexibility in flipping between notes, and provides settings that are only available in the user's secret area.
