[prMac.com] Eustis, Florida - Sydspeak, Inc. introduces Talk to Me 100 v1.0 iPad application to help parents, teachers and therapists teach children who are struggling to speak their first words. Talk To Me 100 is a powerful engaging tool for children who are learning to talk, or who have difficulty mastering verbal expression. An interactive teaching app, Talk To Me 100 allows the child, by pressing buttons to see words, hear words, understand their meaning and experience the joy of communication.
According to Sydspeak, the Talk to Me 100 focuses on 100 frequently used words with corresponding picture symbols that express the meaning of each word. A recorded voice demonstrates proper pronunciation. "Talk to Me 100 is designed to help parents, teachers and therapists jumpstart verbal expression for children who are struggling to communicate,” said Birr.
Sydney Birr, who earned her M.A. Degree in Speech-Language Pathology from the University of Houston, has more than 35 years of experience as a speech and language pathologist. She developed Talk to Me 100 with her son, Andrew, who serves as vice president.
Talk To Me 100 provides communication partners with 100 words organized in a predictable format to use in an unlimited choice of daily activities. Sydspeak created this app for children with autism spectrum disorders, Down syndrome, intellectual disabilities, speech and language disorders and other special needs.
"Research shows that when each communication partner uses their own personal voice output device, language acquisition is more efficient. For the first time, we now have a powerful AAC (augmentative and alternative communication) system where both partners can have their own effective language device with the same voice and symbols," said Birr.
Sydspeak, Inc. is a member of the University of Central Florida Business Incubation program in Winter Springs, Florida.
