[prMac.com] Seoul, Korea - Pictosoft today is pleased to introduce Shinobi ZIN for iOS, a skill, puzzle and strategy Game where players endeavor to become Ninja Warriors. The goal of the game is to sneak into a castle and find a hidden treasure while circumventing obstacles, avoiding traps, solving puzzles, and defeating dangerous enemies. Players earn coins and shurikens, or throwing stars that unlock levels and upgrades. The player who completes all the prescribed tasks becomes a true Ninja Warrior in this challenging, entertaining game that makes use of many iOS features while testing player skill and speed.
Players must employ strategy and skill to win Shinobi ZIN and become a true Ninja warrior. Shinobi ZIN weaves beautiful art, animated sound effects and an intriguing storyline to create a clever game that is both art and entertainment. Set in an old fortress, the Ninja Master calls forth his apprentice to challenge him to accomplish the last task of completing his training to become a Ninja Warrior. Players guide the animated apprentice, ZIN, through the castle to accomplish tasks in multiple levels to gain the ultimate prize of a hidden treasure.
Players use the touch capabilities of drag, tap and pinch to maneuver ZIN through the castle while avoiding or triumphing over obstacles, traps, and enemies. ZIN must crawl to avoid detection by an enemy fighter or under spinning gears to avoid being killed in this universal application for iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch. Traps and obstacles include sharp-bladed spinning gears, automatic barbed traps, motion detection traps, moveable boxes, fire columns, trap doors, falling rocks, and walls that open and close. Gamers must decide how best to progress through each level's challenges, employing a combination of sneaking, crawling, triggering wall movements, moving obstacles to block fire torches, hiding and sneak attacks on enemies, and more.
* Fast and fun game
* 5 exciting floors of sixty different stages
* Variable puzzle stages composed of unique maps, formidable traps, and gigantic enemies
* Tap and drag for all actions allowing players to move, hide, scout, and attack enemies
* Use earned coins and shuriken to upgrade skills, powers, and devastating moves
* An international favorite finally comes to iOS mobile devices
Each level starts with an overhead view of the course, showing where ZIN must travel to complete the level. Players use a finger drag motion to plan the exact path that ZIN will take. Once the player's finger is removed from the screen, a dagger is placed at the end of the finger drag path and ZIN moves in the exact path the player's finger traced. Players continue guiding ZIN through the level avoiding traps, maneuvering around obstacles, and avoiding or sneaking up on and killing enemies. Players can only attack enemies from behind, requiring them to sneak up on the enemy while remaining outside the enemy's line of sight. The area of an enemy's vision is represented by a red shaded array that changes as the enemy moves and looks around the area. While players are traversing the levels, they must collect a certain amount of coins and scrolls in order to move on to the next level and challenge.
Shinobi ZIN's cartoon characters feature animated effects and avoid the bloody animation of many ninja games. Players may upgrade Shinobi ZIN with additional characters, skills, powers or moves that enhance game play. Players may upgrade to Invincible Ninja, a power that allows a player to be undetected by enemies or traps for a specific period of time. Additional upgrade options include Monster Foot, Speedy Shoes, and Invisibility Cloak. Players may also purchase additional coins and shuriken.
Players experience more than 60 different game stages, featuring unique combinations of challenges and increasing difficulty in this fast, dynamic, top-down perspective 2D game. Each level features player scores, level completion time, and number of coins earned. Shinobi ZIN is OpenFeint enabled allowing players to compete with others via Achievements and Leaderboards, turning this one player game into a multi-player competition for ninja supremacy. Players may play a quick game for a few minutes or an extended hours-long, skill-perfecting marathon.
"Experience the thrilling, sneaking action of Shinobi ZIN," stated Pictosoft's Yichan Park. "Take the challenge of defeating enemies and navigate dangerous obstacles and traps. Are you ready to face the danger and become a true ninja?"
