[prMac.com] Menlo Park, California - Many parents are fleeing Facebook as a tool for sharing photos of their babies, due to concerns about the social network's privacy and security. Moment Garden, the maker of a popular, secure online baby book, is now making private sharing of your baby's precious moments even easier with the announcement of their iOS app.
Supported on the iPhone and iPad and available for free in the Apple App Store, Moment Garden's app lets parents save photos and videos or even record stories of their child directly from their phone, while providing the ability to relive the memories from anywhere at anytime. Further, each moment that is saved to Moment Garden is automatically shared with only the child's closest family and friends.
"We are re-inventing baby books as if they were created today. We have spoken with hundreds of parents over the last year about what this means to them, and today marks an important milestone in this vision." explains Moment Garden co-founder, Chris Kundinger. "The mobile phone has evolved into the largest tool used by parents to capture their child's precious moments, and now it couldn't be easier to save those precious memories."
Moment Garden is built from the ground up for privacy. Only close friends and family, who are specifically added to a child's Moment Garden by the parents, are allowed access to see the photos, videos and stories shared within. Those who are given access are automatically kept up to date of new moments through email notifications, and can comment on or even "love" their favorites.
In addition to emphasizing privacy, Moment Garden holds a significant advantage over Facebook when it comes to reliving the memories of your child. Through its beautiful, interactive timeline and moment slideshow, Moment Garden makes it simple and fun for a parent to view their child's saved moments in one place. The iOS app makes browsing these memories, or even showing them off to friends, as easy as a swipe of a finger.

"Facebook requires individuals to be at least 13 years old to have an account, so some parents share their child's photos on their own personal profile, making it difficult to separate your baby's memories from those of your own life," states Zack Garbow, the company's other co-founder. "Moment Garden, on the other hand, is entirely dedicated to your baby, so all the memories are in one place and aren't cluttered with photos from your work or social outings."
