[prMac.com] Castro Valley, California - Fortunate Bear today announces that it is has acquired Pandora, an image and media search tool for Mac OS X, from Positive Spin Media. Fortunate Bear has rechristened the application Skyscraper, and will renew development for the application. Fortunate Bear will support existing Pandora 2.x customers. A new version of Skyscraper, version 2.7.2, is available for immediate download.
Fortunate Bear declined to elaborate on specific future directions for Skyscraper, but did indicate the company had definite plans to modernize and further enhance it.
"I'm happy to welcome Skyscraper customers into our community," said Andy Finnell, Fortunate Bear's president. "I look forward to supporting them, and developing software that meets their needs."
Skyscraper is an image and media search tool. It provides tools for doing keyword searches using websites like Flickr or Google Images, as well as for searching a specific page for all the images contained in it or linked to it. Skyscraper automatically downloads the results to a specified folder, and can display them using a slideshow feature.
The 2.7.2 version of Skyscraper is a minor update, and free for customers who purchased Skyscraper through Positive Spin Media's store. Otherwise it costs $29.99, and is available for immediate download from Fortunate Bear's website or from Apple's Mac App Store.
