[prMac.com] Spokane, Washington - PhatWare Corporation, a leading provider of software products and professional services for mobile and desktop computers, announces today the immediate availability of WritePad for iPad 6.3, the advanced handwriting recognition and notetaking software for iPads. The new version introduces new palm rest technology with smart context filtering.
The new WritePad Palm Rest feature (patent pending) allows users to place their palm on the iPad screen while writing in the full screen handwriting mode. To improve user's experience, the slightly gray area of the screen indicates the palm rest area, while the area above it is reserved for writing. As a user writes, the writing area extends down as needed, allowing to utilize the entire screen. At the end of the each recognition session the palm rest area resets to its default size. The smart context filtering feature allows users to interact with the WritePad document below the palm rest area via single touch, touch and hold, and double touch gestures to position the cursor, select text, or access a popup menu.
WritePad is an advanced note-taker for iOS, which converts practically any handwriting into computer text. Notes created with WritePad can be sent via email or SMS, tweeted, saved, posted on a Facebook wall, printed, exported as PDF, translated to other languages, synchronized with Dropbox, Evernote, and iTunes, or exchanged directly between two or more iOS devices. WritePad also features integration with events, contacts, maps, and other iPad resources. In addition, the interface to the Bing Translator lets users translate WritePad documents to 16 supported languages.
