in Education (E)

[] Cohoes, New York - Big Monk Games today is pleased to announce the release and immediate availability of Math Swipe Jr. for iPad. Math Swipe Jr is an innovative educational game for children learning and/or struggling with beginning math such as Addition, Subtraction, Multiplication, or Division. The original concept of the game was envisioned by developer Michael Cozzolino of Big Monk Games approximately three years ago and has now come to be.

The concept behind Math Swipe Jr. is simple. A number is given to the player to answer. Numbers and Operators are on the screen. The player swipes accross the numbers and operators needed to arrive at the answer. When swiped the images explode and make a tone to acknowledge correct and incorrect answers. Available are 5 different "levels" to play. Addition, subtraction, multiplication, division and all operators available on screen at once.

Each is a timed excersise and is Game Center enabled as well as saving scores locally to the device. Negative numbers are not dealt with as this is more of an early concept of numbers for young children and the idea is to grow with speed and accuracy similar to the flash cards idea.

Big Monk Games uses the iToque2D game technologies provided by Garage Games exclusively for their apps at this time. Best known for their iPad only App "Cat Games".
