[prMac.com] Fremont, California - .com Solutions Inc. has released FmPro Migrator Platinum Edition 6.85 with support for FileMaker global fields, calculation fields and webviewer objects when using the PHP conversion feature. This release also makes it possible to directly convert webviewer objects which use 360Works SuperContainer into functional PHP web applications.
Most FileMaker database solutions make use of global, stored and unstored calculation fields. The automated conversion of this functionality by FmPro Migrator speeds the PHP conversion process and enhances the functionality of the generated PHP web application.
FileMaker WebViewer objects are converted into iFrames on the converted forms. Standard WebViewers having calculated URLs are supported as well as WebViewers used with 360Works SuperContainer servers. The WebViewer URL may have its calculation provided directly within the WebViewer setup dialog or thru the use of global or calculation fields.
Each user gets their own private version of global field values stored as SESSION variables, just as in the original FileMaker database application.
Unstored Calculation fields are calculated before the value is used within the view controller file, within the view and edit actions. Stored Calculation field calcs are performed in the model files before the data is stored within the database server.
