TiX 1.0 released - New iPhone Game for Fast Fingers and Quick Thinking

in Games (F)

[prMac.com] Adelaide, Australia - TiX is the first game release of v3nison Pty Ltd exclusively for iPhone and iPod touch. It is currently available in the App Store for $0.99 in the United States and all over the world. TiX was released on December the 4th 2009. TiX is an action puzzle game that requires you to catch an endless stream of falling balls and stack them in columns. Players just line up four of one colour in a row, column or diagonal to score. When a line is successfully formed the balls disappear from the columns, and this can be exploited to form multiple cascading matches when other balls fall to take the emptied spots.

TiX needs fast thinking and fast fingers as things speed up and the players skills are tested with double or even triple drops. While learning the game it can be played at a relaxing pace, but getting big scores requires planning, dexterity and skill. Players can hold up to five balls at once using the multitouch screen but it quickly becomes a tricky juggling act. At the time of release the developers top score was less than 10000 points in the game, even though it is theoretically possible to score over that in a single move.
