Blocks World - New Anagram Solving Game for iOS Devices
March 16, 2012 in Games
[prMac.com] Palo Alto, California - TranCreative today is pleased to announce the release of "Blocks World", their new retina-ready iPad game. "Blocks World" is a puzzle-style game that requires users to solve anagrams (e.g., "THE EYES = THEY SEE") by moving letter blocks between limited number of spaces. The player's score is graded by comparing against the AI engine that won the last two International Planning Competitions. "Blocks World" initially has 55 levels and more will come soon through future updates.
"Blocks World" is designed to be easy to play by players of all ages. It uses the block-stacking mechanism that most people are familiar with since when we are kids to rearrange letters in anagrams. It works by present words in one side of an anagram (e.g., "DEBIT CARD") as stacks of letter blocks and require the players to rearrange the letter using limited number of spaces on the table to achieve the second half of an anagram (e.g., "BAD CREDIT").
