[prMac.com] Cupertino, California - Auchan, a major brand in distribution company in Europe, has updated it's iPhone application MyAuchan with support of Passbook, a recently added feature in iOS 6. For Auchan customers, it is a very convenient way to handle their fidelity card and check in real time how many points they gained along with their shopping.
Any special offer stored by the customer in its Passbook wallet on the iPhone will become a reminder when passing by the shop, or if expiration date is due soon. In less than 2 weeks, more than 10,000 passbooks have been issued, showing how responsive users are to this new feature.
Fabrice Decroo, VP Marketing at Auchan stated : "We are absolutely convinced by Passbook potential, especially because it is so easy to distribute through the application but also through a web site or an email. We are very happy to have been among the very first brands to present this feature to the customers, and they clearly see the benefits."
Julien Saumande, CEO of Phoceis, who developed the application declared "We have a number of additional features in the pipe regarding Passbook, since it is a clear opportunity to add value for many Brand applications, especially for the distribution activity."
Phoceis is a mobile digital Agency, specialized in mobile commerce and drive-2-store strategies.
