[prMac.com] Seoul, Korea, Republic Of - Waterbear Soft today is pleased to announce that Touch Baby for iPad 1.0.5, its top-rated education app for infants and toddlers, is now available free. An illustrated, talking, dictionary game, the educational app displays a Hi-Res photo of an object, while playing aloud the sound that the object or animal makes. Kids can shout out the name of the pictured object, or touch the ABC button to hear its name aloud. Included are more than 300 photos in 7 different categories, including: Animals, Birds, House, Instruments, Vehicles, Life, and Kids. Unlike similar apps, Touch Baby features 3 different photos for each object, which are displayed randomly. For example, touching the thumbnail of a Piano will display a side view, a top view, and upright, or a grand piano randomly, each time the thumbnail is touched. In addition, the app includes several objects and animals that are uncommon in English-speaking countries.

At launch in portrait orientation, the splash screen displays numerous objects and animals, and a cacophony of their sounds is heard aloud. Touching the Start button takes the user to the Categories page, where thumbnails of each of the 7 Categories can be found. Touching any Category displays 12 circular thumbnail photos (24 photos in the Animal Category). Users can touch any photo on the screen, and no scrolling is necessary. The selection lights up and a full-screen photo appears via a slide-over transition. During the transition, the sound of the animal or object is heard. Players can hear the sound again by touching the Repeat button in the lower right. Usually, the name of the object or animal will be obvious, but if necessary, players can touch the Name button in the top right to hear it aloud.
Ideal for use by mother and baby or baby alone, Touch Baby for iPad includes three photos and two sounds for each animal or object. This helps infants and toddlers learn to recognize all horses, rather than one horse in a picture. With more than 300 professional, Hi-Res photos, the app provides hours of educational fun for young children.
