Tangerine Element Releases SleepMute 1.1 for Mac OS X

in Utility (E)

[prMac.com] North Brunswick, New Jersey - Tangerine Element today is pleased to announce the release and immediate availability of SleepMute 1.1, a significant update to the automatic sound muting utility for Mac OS X. Version 1.1 introduces iTunes pausing & playing on mute and unmute respectively; override all other settings to not mute if iTunes is playing; and muting on computer restart & shutdown to silence the Mac startup sound.

SleepMute is a utility for Mac OS X that automatically mutes a Mac's sound when the display sleeps, computer sleeps, or screensaver starts. If SleepMute has muted sound, it can be configured to unmute when the display wakes, computer wakes, or screensaver stops. Sound can be immediately mute like the Mac's mute button or faded over a number of seconds for a more gradual transition to silence. Combine SleepMute and the screen saver triggered by a hot corner in Mac OS X to dramatically increase your audio & video privacy. Flick the cursor into the hot corner, then see how audio and video are immediately silenced.

System Requirements:
* Mac OS X 10.6.6 / 10.7.2 or later
* 1.0 MB

Pricing and Availability:
SleepMute 1.1 is only $0.99 USD (or equivalent amount in other currencies) and available worldwide exclusively through the App Store in the Utilities category. SleepMute is a free update for existing customers.
