[prMac.com] Beijing, China - Sword of Inferno 1.01, the action/RPG hybrid which has received over 2000 five-star reviews on the Google Play store, with an average rating of 4.6, is hacking and slashing its way to iOS.
Charting the story of Matthew the Force Blader and three loyal companions, Sword of Inferno pits players against the evil Inferno forces in a life and death struggle to reclaim the legendary weapon through a series of mystical locales brimming with danger. Fans of old-school side-scrolling beat-em-ups and hardcore RPG players will be in for a treat as 'Sword of Inferno' mixes the two genres with stunning results.
Echoing the classic beat-em-ups of the 1990's, the game presents players with side-scrolling environments filled with vibrant and bold characters and unique enemies. It incorporates an Auto-Attack system exclusively designed for smartphones - simply approach the enemy and Matthew will automatically hack and slash, performing multi-hit combos that virtual controls would struggle to replicate. In fact, the entire experience has been optimised for touchscreen devices with intuitive swipe controls allowing the player to get right to the heart of the action.
And that action is of a high calibre indeed. Combo combat may be the foundation of the game, but the ability to harness the power of the elements and cast spells that fill the screen with destructive power, as well as dragon-riding levels really brings the game into its own. Mounting a winged fire-breathing beast and bringing its own special attacks adds a new type of variety to gameplay. Think of it as a vehicular section, but with the ability to eat through your enemies. Literally.
Sword of Inferno also gives the player complete freedom to fashion their own legend with deep RPG and customisation elements, allowing them to create the exact type of warrior they want. Levelling up, learning skills and assigning points to a wide range of attributes are all featured, as is an exclusive crafting element which allows you to collect and combine rare and beautiful equipment from all parts of the game world. Defeating bosses rewards the player with ancient drawings which act as instructions to construct new and increasingly powerful weapons.
With Sword of Inferno, China Wireless Arts is giving iOS gamers the opportunity to discover the story of a legendary blade forged in the depths of Hell. Packed with action, intrigue and twists, just how the sword gets back into players' hands is completely up to them. New legends are sure to be born.
