[prMac.com] Salt Lake City, Utah - infiniteNIL Software announced the availability of Landscaper's Companion for Mac OS X. Landscaper's Companion was first introduced as an iOS app by Stevenson Software and has been featured by Apple multiple times as well as receiving many rave reviews. Stevenson Software commissioned infiniteNIL to bring the app to the Mac.
The Mac app has all the same great features such as a database of over 8,500 plants and over 9,000 high quality images. Plants can be browsed by 16 categories, marked as favorites, and searched for based on their name, color, type, sun, water, grow rate, size, and other characteristics. Most plants include cultivation information, common uses, and potential problems they may have. Users can add their own notes and images to each plant.
The Mac version also takes advantage of the larger screen real estate and features of Mac OS X Lion, such as full-screen mode, and gestures for scrolling through images.
"I'm excited for gardeners to be able to use the #1 gardening app, Landscaper's Companion, anywhere they are - whether they are in their office using the desktop version or out in their gardens with their iPhone or Android.", said Dave Stevenson of Stevenson Software.
The Landscaper's Companion app for the Mac requires Mac OS X Lion and can be downloaded directly from the Mac App Store.
